Job summary

The Kensington Sierra Madre in Sierra Madre, California is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our embedded therapy team. This role emphasizes therapy in the context of real life and supports evening ADLs.

As a COTA you will translate plans into meaningful progress, working closely with residents and the therapy team. Prava Therapy supports clinical judgment, resident dignity, and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with ability to work in evening hours.
• Experience translating care plans into functional progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Help residents improve independence in meaningful daily activities (ADLs/IADLs).
• Address dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, bathing, and mobility in real-life contexts.
• Use residents' environments as opportunities for therapeutic intervention.
• Communicate observations and progress to the supervising OT and team.
