Job summary

Labcorp in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join Ascension St Agnes. You will determine specimen acceptability, perform procedures, operate and troubleshoot instruments, and report results to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS, with 1+ year of lab testing, and preferred ASCP/AMT certification. Shift 2, evenings; salary range provided; comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or MLS with 1 year or more clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
