Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support residents’ daily living in a warm, home-like setting in St. Joseph, MO. You will provide daily care, companionship, and safety, working with a supportive team of caregivers and nurses.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR and BLS certifications are a plus — training available.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition.
Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required.
Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs.
Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well‑being.
Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
