Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide personal care and related services to residents according to individualized care plans. The Resident Assistant works under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator, with Nurse’s Aide certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and medication reminders; following ISPs and reporting changes to supervisors; maintaining a safe, clean

Qualifications

• Minimum six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Completion of required medication management course.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report deviations to supervising nurse.
• Assist residents with personal care and medication reminders.
• Follow ISPs and daily task sheets; communicate status changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean resident environment and document progress.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities.
• Attend in-service meetings and trainings.
• Uphold HIPAA and follow community policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
