In the Security Officer position, you will be responsible for executing tasks that support a safe and secure work environment.

The shift for this position is Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm based upon required shift coverage and requires working a weekend rotation every 6-8 weeks or as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years education in criminal justice or a similar field, or 4+ years of related work experience.
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests from Partners with access badge issues, modifying badge access levels, and replacing damaged or lost access badges.
• Grants access to secured offices for Environment Services Partners to complete daily cleaning, and re-secures.
• Removes event-related signage and traffic control devices post-event.
• Conducts regular, routine inspections and verifies functionality of gates, emergency exits, fences, exterior doors and overhead doors.
• Escorts and monitors security system technicians responding to service requests as well as fire and municipal inspectors conducting routine inspections.
• Facilitates campus visits for invited guests, escorting as needed, and providing additional safety and security presence as requested.
