Job summary

CT Lottery Corporation in Wallingford, CT seeks a Temporary Part-Time Security Officer (22-hours) to protect staff, property and assets. The role follows evening shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, starting mid-December 2026 through end of April 2027, with in-office presence required.

Two years of security experience, knowledge of security systems, and possession of required licenses are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the protection of persons or property or enforcement of security regulations.
• Knowledge of physical security systems, emergency responses, traffic and crowd control, fire prevention and security.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and exercise good judgment.
• Substitutions allowed: college training can substitute for experience up to one year.
• Must possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license, an Occupational License, First Aid and CPR certificates, and a Connecticut Guard Card.

Responsibilities

• Routine patrol duties inside facilities and monitoring security and alarms systems.
• Operate access system and security console equipment and maintain videotapes.
• Review video and artifacts for assigned cases when requested and approved.
• Provide security escorts for visitors, contractors and employees as needed.
• Protect buildings and parking areas at CLC properties.
• Maintain records, assist investigations and take corrective action as required.
• Gather information for police assistance when requested and maintain logs and reports.
• Oversee destruction of tickets and related paperwork.
• Respond to security alarms, outages and facility problems.
• Implement evacuation and threat procedures; perform related duties as required.
