Linn-Mar Community School District is seeking a Custodian for the 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. shift. The role involves cleaning and maintaining district facilities to support a safe, sanitary educational environment.

Starting wage is $20.16 per hour with opportunities for routine maintenance and basic repairs. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and custodial experience. You will work under the Custodial Supervisor within the Operations and Maintenance department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and tools.

Responsabilités

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas per supervisor instructions.
• Maintain grounds including sidewalks, snow removal, lawn care and parking lots.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory; request additional supplies as needed.
• Assist visitors and staff, provide directions and support facility use.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and report repair needs to supervisor.
• Promote energy conservation by turning off lights and managing thermostats.
• Ensure security of building and grounds; check doors and windows.
