Job summary

Catholic Central High School in Novi, MI is seeking a full-time evening custodian (2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Mon-Fri) to maintain a faith-filled campus reflecting excellence and spirit. The role includes preparing spaces for events and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

You’ll care for floors, labs, chapels, and gathering spaces, collaborate with a mission-driven team, support summer student workers, and uphold Archdiocese training and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in custodial or facilities work preferred.
• Respect for the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to communicate clearly, positively, and in a timely manner.
• Willing to complete required Archdiocese of Detroit training.
• Willing to submit to drug testing, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across the entire campus.
• Care for and maintain floors, furniture, and building systems.
• Help prepare and restore facilities for school events and community gatherings.
• Respond to facility needs with professionalism and care.
• Assist in securing buildings and ensuring campus safety.
• Assist with the supervision of summer student workers.
• Work alongside a team that values pride in service and attention to detail.
