Job summary

LaPorte Community School Corporation seeks a 2nd Shift Head Custodian Supervisor (Non Union) to lead evening custodial teams, ensure clean, safe facilities, and manage snow removal and equipment operation.

This full-time, on-site role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to supervise staff, inspect work, and coordinate with administration to keep schools ready for daily use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with school facility cleaning and supervision preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Working knowledge of custodial equipment and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 2nd shift custodial operations to prepare facilities for daily use.
• Schedule cleaning tasks, snow removal, and staffing.
• Ensure security by closing windows/doors and reporting issues.
• Operate cleaning equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
• Assist with heating plant operations and building systems as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries and authorize repairs.
• Support students, staff, and community relations.
