Job summary

WAVERLY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS is seeking a Custodian for the 2nd shift at the High School. The position supports daily cleaning, safety, and maintenance to ensure a conducive learning environment. Start date is immediate and 8 hours per day, with duties aligned to the district policies.

Salary is $17.95 per hour as per the Teamsters Master Agreement. Applications are accepted until filled. The role requires reliable transportation and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License or reliable transportation is required.
• Previous custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regular custodial duties in assigned areas of the building.
• Communicate with custodial team daily.
• Support curricular and extracurricular events and activities.
• Restock items and provide inventory data to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in designated spaces.
• Assist public who use facilities.
• Prepare reports as directed.
• Project a professional image for the district.
