Job summary

Northampton County High School in Gaston, North Carolina, is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Custodian to clean and maintain facilities after school hours. You will perform custodial tasks, restock supplies and assist with light groundskeeping under supervision. This is a 4-hour shift from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with an anticipated end date in December or January.

Experience in custodial work is preferred. The role reports to the Principal and requires ability to lift and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floor surfaces.
• Cleans restrooms, replenishes supplies, cleans windows and fixtures.
• Dusts desks and furniture, empties trash and recycles.
• Polices grounds, shovels snow, applies de-icing materials as needed.
• Replaces burned-out light bulbs and maintains supplies.
• Prepares requisitions for cleaning supplies for the upcoming week.
