Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Part-Time Custodian/Janitorial Worker to help keep a school facility clean, safe, and ready for students and staff each day. In this custodial role, you will clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas while following established safety and cleaning procedures.

The position is primarily afternoon and evening hours with a typical shift from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You will perform duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, taking out

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull and lift cleaning supplies/equipment.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures, safety requirements and work instructions.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Professional communication skills with staff and management.
• Part-time weekday schedule, primarily afternoons/evenings.
• Must pass background screening for a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, and other areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitize surfaces according to schedules.
• Collect, transport, and dispose of trash and recycling in designated locations.
• Restock restroom, classroom, and janitorial supplies as needed.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment (vacuums, mops, floor care tools, carts).
• Follow cleaning procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and safety requirements.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues through proper channels.
• Assist with deep cleaning, event setup/cleanup, and seasonal cleaning.
• Secure the facility by locking/unlocking designated areas as required.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe environment for students, staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Work independently while supporting team cleaning goals.
