Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking an Adult Cleaner for part-time evening shifts at Clarke N. Johnsen Junior High School. You will keep classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, and common areas clean and safe, and perform light maintenance on custodial equipment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 21+ years old; experience is a plus. The role supports morning to late afternoon operations with a salary schedule and paid training as part of a 19‑hour weekly position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 21 years or older to apply.
• Experience in custodial maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of basic safety practices and hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to work flexible hours and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean facilities and grounds (classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, cafeteria) for safety and usability.
• Perform minor maintenance on custodial equipment and furniture.
• Carry out summer maintenance tasks such as stripping/waxing floors.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies to ensure availability.
• Respond to safety and operational concerns and communicate with staff.
• Assist other site maintenance staff as needed.
• Attend unit meetings and training to improve job performance.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations.
