Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule including floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep school building and grounds neat and clean (sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, play areas).
• Comply with local laws for storage and disposal of trash.
• Assist in inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; request additional supplies as needed.
• Assist with lunchroom setup (tables/chairs).
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure comfort, health, and safety of students and staff.
• Report building repair needs to principal or custodial supervisor.
• Move furniture or equipment as directed; assist with setup for events.
• Open and close building each school day; follow security procedures.
• Check exits and panic bolts; inspect machines/equipment for safety.
