Job summary

Lafayette School Corporation's Glen Acres Elementary is seeking a Staff Custodian for the 3rd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). The role includes general cleaning, maintenance, securing the building, and assisting with deliveries across classrooms and common areas.

You will work Monday through Friday at $16.82 per hour, 40 hours per week, under supervision of the Principal and Director of Facilities. Strong English fluency and ability to operate cleaning equipment are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to follow oral/written work orders and coordinate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Secure building at shift start and end.
• Clean rooms, hallways, and restrooms to standards.
• Perform floor care: sweep, mop, buff, strip, wax.
• Clean windows, walls, furniture and fixtures.
• Assist in deliveries and stockroom organization.
• Support snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Assist during events and with parent/visitor needs.
