Job summary

Mount Abraham Unified School District is seeking a Custodian for the 2nd shift at Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School in Bristol, Vermont. The role focuses on keeping classrooms and common areas clean and safe, supporting maintenance, and assisting with events.

The ideal candidate shows a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous custodial experience is a plus, and a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, hallways, and common spaces clean, safe, and ready for learning
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing)
• Support building maintenance and report repair needs
• Help with event setup and breakdown
• Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a welcoming environment
