Job summary

SHEPHERDSTOWN MIDDLE in Shepherdstown, WV is seeking a Custodian III to maintain clean and safe school facilities. The position supports daily educational activities by performing custodial duties, minor repairs, and building security under the supervision of the principal or head custodian.

Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with summer hours varying by building principal. This is a non-exempt, 261-day contract with compensation per the Jefferson County Salary Scale, Pay

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, pursuant to WV Code §18A-2-5.
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c.
• Minimum of three supervisory references required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and preserves designated spaces, equipment, etc. in the building.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment and informs the head custodian of needs.
• Performs minor maintenance and repairs and assists in special events.
