Job summary

Austin Public Schools is seeking a full-time Custodian at Austin High School. The role involves routine custodial tasks, grounds work, event setup, and general maintenance, with shift times 3:15 - 11:45 pm during the school year and 6:00 am - 2:30 pm in summer.

The successful candidate will perform cleaning, sanitation, filing through classrooms and restrooms, replace light bulbs, wash windows, and support a safe learning environment. A pre-employment physical is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment physical and be eligible to work in an educational institution.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and washing desks.
• Cleaning restrooms, kitchens, offices, gym; strip and wax floors.
• Emptying garbage and performing general maintenance such as changing bulbs.
• Setting up and taking down events.
• Cleaning windows and walls; other duties as assigned.
