Job summary

The St. Charles School District is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian to perform cleaning and basic maintenance across school facilities. The role requires regular attendance and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and operate cleaning equipment.

Works 20 hours per week with a 4-hour daily schedule and night differential. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, performing minor repairs, and ensuring security and safety before leaving.

Qualifications

• One year of custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.
• Able to climb a 6' ladder.

Responsibilities

• Maintains regular attendance and cleanliness of designated spaces.
• Cleans classrooms, offices, libraries, restrooms and common areas.
• Scrubs, mops, disinfects, and polishes floors as required.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance when needed.
• Reports vandalism or damage to supervisor.
• Ensures building security at end of day.
