Job summary

Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools is seeking a part-time Custodian at Buffalo Community Middle School to provide custodial support, ensuring a clean, safe and healthy learning environment for students and staff. Schedule: 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, year-round, with evening hours as assigned.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and event setup. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and ability to work independently as part of a district facilities team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
• Ability to employ proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Clean, scrub, mop, dust, vacuum or sweep floors, stairs, classrooms, kitchens, gyms, locker rooms, libraries, offices, commons, hallways, restrooms and other designated areas.
• Respond to emergency cleanup situations.
• Maintain custodial/maintenance rooms and restock supplies.
• Maintain building security: secure building, lock/unlock buildings as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs; assist with major repairs as directed.
