Olathe Public Schools in Olathe, KS, is seeking a Custodian - Night (Full-time Evenings) to provide custodial services and maintain a sanitary, safe environment for students and staff. The role reports to Lead Custodian and requires passing a post offer employment test and being at least 16 years old.

The job supports events, routine cleaning, climate control, and safety monitoring, with a pay rate of $15.00–$16.32 per hour.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
• High degree of motivation, responsibility and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability in compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly collaborative team player.
• Self-initiative to identify areas of opportunity and follow up.

Responsibilities

• Arrange furniture and equipment for events to ensure adequate preparations.
• Clean facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe environment.
• Monitor heating/cooling to maintain comfort while conserving energy.
• Perform summer maintenance and grounds work as needed.
• Restock classroom and restroom supplies to ensure availability.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, students, and visitors for information and action.
• Secure facilities and grounds to minimize risk and liability.
