Job summary

Princeton Day School is hiring an experienced Custodian to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on campus. The role runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with some weekends, and it includes a strong benefits package, retirement plan and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Clean, polish and disinfect bathroom fixtures, urinals, toilets and mirrors.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors and stairs; Clean walls and baseboards; Wash windows.
• Collect trash and recycling and place in proper dumpster.
• Clean all desk tops and polish furniture; Wipe down chalk boards/white boards.
• Set-up/break-down for events and lunch.
• Outside garbage removal from all PDS properties; Garbage removal from athletic fields.
• Respond to emergencies in the school (floods, spills).
• Snow removal including shoveling and plowing.
• Perform Buildings & Grounds functions when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
