Job summary

Boone County Schools is seeking a Custodian for evening shifts to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, windows, fixtures, and restrooms; maintaining heat, ventilation, and energy use; and reporting any property issues to the Principal.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow written directions, and physical stamina to perform heavy labor including lifting up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.

Responsibilities

• Follow written guidelines and supervisor directions.
• Keep building and surrounding areas neat and clean at all times.
• Operate climate controls to maintain comfortable, economical conditions.
• Shovel, plow, and maintain entrances and parking areas as needed.
• Raise and lower the United States flag daily.
• Clean floors, fixtures, and surfaces on schedule.
• Remove waste and trash from the building and grounds.
• Report damage to school property to the Principal.
