Job summary

Rockingham County Schools Stoneville Elementary in North Carolina is seeking an EC Bus Driver (PM) to ensure safe student transportation on assigned routes. You will perform inspections, operate the bus, and maintain discipline on board.

The job requires a high school diploma and a valid NC commercial driver’s license with school bus certification. This is a full-time PM route reporting to the Zone Transportation Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for large vehicles with public transport experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and communicate clearly with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus.
• Operate the bus on the assigned route and schedule.
• Maintain discipline and safety of students aboard the bus.
• Report any incidents, accidents or route changes to the Zone Transportation Supervisor.
• Ensure bus is secured at the end of each run and complete required reports.
