Job summary

Pharmavite in Opelika, AL is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to perform a wide variety of routine cleaning duties to keep offices and plant facilities safe and sanitary. You will operate cleaners, maintain logs, and follow safety and MSDS guidelines.

You will work 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. A High School diploma or GED is required, with 3–6 months of janitorial experience preferred; strong English reading/writing and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

A High School diploma or GED is required.
Three to six months prior janitorial experience preferred.
Ability to read English sufficiently to understand procedures and MSDS; communicate with supervisors.

Responsibilities

Keeps offices and plant facilities clean and orderly.
Uses brooms, vacuums, waxers, burnishers, powered equipment, and mops to clean floors.
Collects and disposes of trash; operates compactor as needed.
Cleans furniture and fixtures with rags and brushes.
Washes walls and other surfaces.
Maintains routine logs and work description charts.
Follows safety procedures and MSDS guidelines for chemicals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
