Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an Safety Coordinator to assist the Safety Manager in developing and implementing safety and health programs across Peterbilt and PacLease. The role supports accident prevention, training, materials management, DOT compliance, and ergonomics, with core hours 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

The incumbent will help manage safety department resources and ensure division compliance with federal, state, and local agencies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Interacts with all levels of management, dealers and customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Investigate injuries and review accident reports; coordinate corrective measures.
• Develop training programs and slide decks for safety topics.
• Deliver health and safety training aligned with annual plan and ensure 100% completion across operations and support functions.
• Observe onsite practices and craft solutions to improve employee health and wellness.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with management to conduct risk assessments for current jobs and new equipment; drive risk mitigation including ergonomics.
• Build cross-functional relationships to drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in safety committees and share best practices across locations.
• Adapt and execute additional assignments as needed.
• Collaborate with departmental reps to address safety concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
