Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the South 5 unit on the Evening shift (2:45-11:15 PM). The position is part-time (24 hours) with on-site work and potential signing bonus.

Current MA nursing licensure and BLS are required; ACLS preferred, BSN preferred. Responsibilities include planning, delivering and coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, with emphasis on assessment, discharge planning, and delegation per competency.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for direct patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individual plans of care including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately according to job description and competency level.
