Job summary

UNC Health Nash invites experienced nurses to join our Special Progressive Care Unit in Nash County. The Clinical Nurse delivers patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting, reporting to Nurse Manager/Director.

The role requires NC RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience. Work is full-time, onsite with 36 hours per week, evening shifts, and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One (1) year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - identifies learning needs, attends programs, uses patient education materials relevant to patient population. Assesses readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care - identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in team evaluation of care.
• Implementation - provides care for patients with complex problems and performs bedside testing; follows policies and procedures.
• Leadership - develops goals, promotes collaboration, and supports cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - prioritizes care based on data and plans for discharge needs.
• Planning - updates care plans with multidisciplinary resources and considers cultural factors.
• Research - reviews journals and discusses applicability with the team.
