Job summary

Chariton Specialty Care, part of Care Initiatives, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN shifts (6pm–6am) at our 60-bed skilled nursing community in Chariton, IA. We offer a competitive hourly rate with shift differential and opportunities to impact residents' lives daily.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. Active Iowa RN license and CPR are required.

Qualifications

RN license in good standing and Iowa licensure
CPR certification current
Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations
Commitment to compassionate, respectful care

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in skilled nursing
Support daily clinical operations and resident safety on the unit
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
Monitor residents and respond to status changes promptly
Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider and interdisciplinary team
Communicate with residents and families about care needs
Document care to meet standards and regulatory requirements
Follow infection control and safety protocols
