Care Initiatives in Cherokee, IA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time or part-time night shifts at our 62-bed skilled nursing community. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing; Iowa license or ability to activate.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit ensuring quality care and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, providers and other team members to promote care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
