Job summary

Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages in Papillion, NE is seeking RN/LPNs for an evening, full-time shift (2:00-10:00 PM) to provide compassionate nursing care in a cottage setting that emphasizes resident independence and well-being.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN or LPN license in Nebraska or a compact state, BLS, and have a strong focus on safety, documentation, and teamwork within a post-acute, long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN or LPN license in Nebraska or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care based on each resident’s individualized plan of care.
• Complete prescribed treatments and ensure medications are administered timely, privately, and according to facility procedures.
• Use electronic medication administration and clinical documentation systems accurately.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
• Support skin integrity by following skin-care policies, completing skin rounds, and documenting accurately.
• Complete weekly assessments and other required documentation in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
• Review and update care plans as resident needs, conditions, or goals change.
• Complete admission care plans and support smooth transitions of care.
• Partner with Nurse Techs, Medication Aides, therapy, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure care is completed.
• Attend daily huddles and collaborate with cottage and community team members to support resident needs.
• Use clinical judgment and tools such as INTERACT to help manage changes in resident condition.
• Participate in nurse meetings, facility in-services, competencies, and ongoing professional development.
• Help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for residents, families, and team members.
