Job summary

The Hamilton Assisted Living is seeking a Registered Medication Assistant (RMA) in Virginia. Must be a certified RMA and a CNA/CHHA in VA.

This is a full-time role with a 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift and an hourly range of $18.50 to $21.00, with daily pay available and other incentives. Responsibilities include safe medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in Virginia.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA/HHA, as required.
• Previous CMA experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous medications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as certified.
• Observe residents for medication responses, document appropriately, and report changes or adverse reactions to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing staff.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all medication administration and related care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and care team to promote resident-centered care.
