Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate in Mundelein, IL. Pay rate is $15.00-$16.00 per hour and up to 28 hours weekly.

Hours are 4:30pm–8:30pm (may vary) as you help create a welcoming shopping experience for our diverse community of customers and donors. This role combines customer service, retail operations, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or currently pursuing.
• Strong English communication skills for customer and team interactions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule. Including evenings/night, holidays, & weekends.
• Professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
• Reliable and team-oriented mindset.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and offering assistance.
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS system including opening, closing, and balancing.
• Maintain store appearance through cleaning, organizing, and restocking.
• Help meet daily production goals by processing and displaying new merchandise.
• Contribute to a positive shopping environment.
• Bank Running, Pricing, or Cross trained in other Departments.
