Job summary

Masonicare at Mystic in Mystic, CT is seeking a Resident Care Assistant for the evening shift. Under supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist residents with daily living activities and personal care to maximize independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, ambulating, meal support, hygiene, medication cueing, monitoring health, and helping with dining during shifts. Completion of required documentation and collaboration with the care team are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Post High School Vocational / Specialized Training.
• Experience: 1 year CNA experience preferred.
• Certificates, licenses: Current CT CNA certificate; CPR preferred; CT driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care to maximize independence.
• Provide instrumental ADL support: meals, housekeeping, laundry, and escorting.
• Assist with medication through cueing and monitor health status.
• Observe changes and report to ALSA licensed nurses; conduct room checks.
• Participate in resident-centered activity programs and dining support.
• Document care accurately and maintain safety; perform other duties as required.
