Job summary

HM Prison and Probation Service is seeking a Programme Facilitator to deliver accredited programmes and structured interventions to individuals on probation or under community orders. The role focuses on reducing re-offending and enabling desistance, with a regional base and travel across locations.

The post involves evening work and unsocial hours, reporting to the Programme Manager, with opportunities for annual pay progression and eligibility for pace-based banding adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of rehabilitation interventions aimed at changing attitudes, beliefs and behaviour of people on probation.
• Provide groupwork and individual work to individuals under Community Orders or on licence.
• Travel to different locations to deliver programmes; travel expenses can be claimed.
• Work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends; some shifts in the evenings and Saturdays.
• Report to the Programme Manager and operate within the Interventions Team across a large regional area.
