Job summary

SBM Recycling Technician in Tualatin, Oregon, supports recycling, reuse, and reclamation programs while maintaining safety and environmental standards across operations. The role emphasizes professional interaction with customers and team members in a fast-paced facility.

You will perform material sorting, logging, and site upkeep, following SBM procedures. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years recycling experience are preferred, with CPR/First Aid a plus and potential forklift

Qualifications

• Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain logs and schedules.
• Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials.
• Inspect and sort materials.
• Maintain dock and collection areas.
