Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA is seeking an on-site Radiology Technologist for an evening, part-time role. The technician will operate imaging equipment, ensure ALARA safety, explain procedures to patients, and work with physicians and nurses to deliver accurate diagnostic images.

Requirements include an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT licensure or eligibility, and CPR certification. Excellent communication in English and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible; MA licensure required.
• CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to explain procedures in English and ensure patient comfort.
• Preferred: prior Radiology Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Ensure ALARA and patient safety during imaging.
• Explain procedures to patients and observe comfort.
• Prepare/ administer contrast media as required.
• Position patients and operate equipment with proper exposure settings.
• Document and file patient data and results; communicate with care team.
