Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• State licensure preferred unless required by the state.
• BLS Basic Life Support required prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's clinical history and relevant lab work.
• Position and immobilize patients for procedures.
• Apply principles of radiation protection.
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment.
• Verify informed consent and documentation before procedures.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.
• Identify and administer medications/contrast as prescribed.
