Job summary

CUMULUS MEDIA | Allentown, PA is offering a Part-Time Promotions Technician & Board Operator role, providing programming and control console support. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and flexible to work in a fast-paced media environment with evenings, weekends and holidays.

You will operate the radio console, play commercials, monitor weather and news, and ensure quality control of on-air programming. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a radio control console preferred.
• Audio production experience preferred.
• Ability to learn FCC rules and EAS guidelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audio software preferred.
• Familiarity with audio mixers is a plus.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays scheduling flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Running the console in a radio station control room broadcasting live or pre-recorded programs
• Playing all commercials as scheduled and maintaining a commercial and transmitter log
• Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reports
• Monitor for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts and breaking news
• Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of on-air programming from master control room
