Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain is seeking a Supervisor of Public Safety to provide direct front-line leadership for Public Safety Officers and Dispatchers, ensuring a professional, safe and secure environment for colleagues, clinicians, customers and visitors.

The role supports the Director with daily operations, coaching staff, and providing training; specialized knowledge in public safety, emergency procedures, and security is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CT Guard Card valid.
• English reading/writing/speaking required; multilingual preferred.
• Three to four years of relevant public safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line leadership and oversight for Public Safety Officers and Dispatchers.
• Deliver a safe and secure environment for colleagues, clinicians, customers and visitors.
• Coach and mentor staff to meet daily performance goals and participate in training.
• Support the Director/Manager with daily operational activities.
