Job summary

VIAVI Solutions is hiring a Production Test Operator I for the 1:00pm–9:00pm shift. You will load products onto precision test fixtures, orient fixtures correctly in test chambers, and secure electrical connections from products to digital acquisition systems.

You will operate custom thermal dynamic test equipment and computer-based test systems, document test results, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the test floor team.

Qualifications

• Reads test schedules, work orders, manuals, performance specs and wiring diagrams to determine testing procedures.
• Operates custom thermal dynamic test equipment.
• Provides reporting on test status and complications.
• Champions positive attitude and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Loads products onto precision test fixtures and orients fixtures into exact positions in test chambers.
• Secures electrical connections from products to electronic acquisition systems and controls test execution.
• Contributes to development of new test methods and maintenance of test facilities.
• Confers with engineers and technicians regarding testing procedures and results.
