Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Weeknight Production Lead to guide our day shift production team, ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet our high-quality standards. You will lead packaging, processing, and sanitation activities, drive daily goals, and coach team members to perform at their best.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills to inspire and guide a team.
• Experience with packaging machinery and production operations preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, math, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift moderate weight and move skids as needed.
• Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Additional post-high school education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists Production Supervisor in leading all packaging, processing, and sanitation activities.
• Monitors daily attendance, evaluates individual performance and trains personnel to ensure standards are met.
• Assists with scheduling personnel to meet daily production requirements.
• Fill in for various department functions when needed and give breaks.
• Monitors equipment operations and communicates breakdowns to maintenance.
• Ensures production of quality product by upholding processing and packaging standards.
• Maintains data integrity/accuracy in ERP data system.
• Maintains knowledge of RedZone, 6S Principles and Continuous Improvement.
• Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintains a safety-first culture and work environment.
• Follows GMP, food safety practices, and SQF requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned that support company objectives.
