Northwest Healthcare is seeking a PRN Food Services Worker I to support the Cafeteria department at Houghton Hospital in Tucson, AZ. The role involves preparing, presenting, and serving meals while upholding food safety standards and pantry upkeep.

Evenings: as needed; schedule based on department needs. This position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and delivering quality service to customers in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience: 0–1 years in food preparation or food services.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepares ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and weighing vegetables and fruits.
• Safely transports pans, kettles, and trays while following safety protocols.
• Stores food properly with FIFO practices and correct dating.
• Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, temp control, and portions.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas per safety/sanitation standards.
• Sets up and monitors serving line, records temperatures, notifies chef of deviations.
• Serves hot/cold items with professionalism.
• Stocks pantry and refrigerators; logs temperatures and replenishments.
• Assists in meal tray prep and delivery as needed.
• Collaborates with team to support efficient operations.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
