L’Alliance New York is seeking a warm, reliable Preschool Aftercare Teacher to support our afterschool program for ages 2½ to 5½. The role is part-time and in-person, with supervision and engaging activities to ease the transition from school to pickup.

Ideal candidates are patient, collaborative, and able to maintain a safe, nurturing environment while following school routines and safety procedures. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, with French proficiency a bonus.

Formación

• Must hold valid U.S. work authorization.
• Experience with young children (2½ to 5½) preferred.
• Interest in early childhood education and child development.
• Ability to lead age-appropriate activities and play.
• Comfort with bathroom and personal care assistance; follow safety procedures.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus; willing to obtain.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and care for students during aftercare, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Create a warm, engaging environment with age-appropriate activities.
• Support social and emotional development through positive interactions.
• Assist children with bathroom and personal care needs as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized aftercare space.
• Support a smooth end-of-day transition for pickups.
• Communicate relevant information about students to the team.
• Follow Preschool policies and contribute to a welcoming environment.
