Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Grand Prairie, TX, seeks a motivated supervisor for our outdoor plant environment. The role leads pipe finishing, outlets/specials, and loading; ensures safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coaching a bilingual crew.

Weekend and evening flexibility is required, with a focus on continuous improvement and teamwork. You will coordinate operations, read blueprints, and drive training to enhance capabilities across the crew, aiming for zero defects and zero incidents.

Qualifications

• Welding knowledge and hands-on manufacturing know-how.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with strong communication.
• 2+ years leading teams in manufacturing or production.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pipe finishing, outlets/specials, and loading to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Assure on-time material deliveries and stage components to prevent delays.
• Maintain a strong floor presence to reinforce safety, quality, and production best practices.
• Develop action plans that keep commitments and deadlines on track.
• Monitor personnel for adherence to company policies and productivity standards; provide feedback.
• Read blueprints/specifications and apply technical proficiency to guide work.
• Ensure products meet customer expectations and job specifications.
• Drive communications and training to build capability across the crew.
• Complete administrative tasks in line with company procedures.
• Maintain floor order and strive for zero defects and zero incidents.
