Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Laboratory Support/Phlebotomy role for the 2nd shift with 32 hours per week. The incumbent will obtain blood specimens, process specimens for clinical analysis, and relay patient information to the appropriate care giver.

Coverage includes Inpatient, ER, Mt Sinai and processing area. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, laboratory experience or medical terminology knowledge, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Laboratory experience, specimen processing preferred; or clinical office experience with medical terminology.
• National Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods.
• Labels all specimens following laboratory policy.
• Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens.
• Position will cover Inpatient, ER, Mt Sinai and processing area.
