Job summary

Rush Memorial is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist for our laboratory team. You will perform breath alcohol testing, draw blood from patients, collect drug screens, and ensure accurate charting and result communication. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 16:30–03:00, and the role is full-time.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent; NHA/ASCP certification is preferred but not required. Prior phlebotomy experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NHA or ASCP certification desired but not required.
• Experience as a phlebotomist is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy including blood draws from patients.
• Conduct breath alcohol testing and collect drug screens.
• Chart, telephone and fax results; retrieve reports as needed.
• Perform house calls and nursing home draws when required.
• Manage workload and maintain professional demeanor under pressure.
