Job summary

CPS Healthcare seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Suffolk House of Correction in Boston. The role handles receiving, verifying, and ordering prescriptions and coordinates pharmaceutical processing via identified vendors.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Rate is $25–$30/hour based on experience and certifications; benefits include health and dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Must have Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Must be able to pass a facility background check.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the pharmaceutical program.
• Verify delivered medications for accuracy using Physician Order Sheet and Pharmacy Packing List.
• Inventory stock and replenish supplies as needed within the CPS pharmacy.
• Remove out-of-date and stop-date medications.
• Maintain accurate records as directed by the DON.
• Keep the pharmacy library current and organized.
• Maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy area.
• May be required to work beyond regularly scheduled hours.
• Follow all security rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties including medical records as required.
