Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager - RN for Postpartum, evenings. This full-time role oversees nursing care on the Postpartum unit for the 2:00 pm–12:00 midnight shift, four days a week, on-site at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

The candidate will lead a team, implement standards, and partner with the Patient Care Director to align unit goals with hospital strategy while ensuring quality and safety in patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
• BCLS by American Heart Association.
• At least 3 years women's health experience.
• Masters in Nursing or related field preferred.
• National Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies.
• Knowledge of performance improvement principles.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assumes first line leadership for patient care on assigned shift.
• Facilitates efficient and cost-effective unit operations.
• Promotes safety and quality through adherence to standards and procedures.
• Collaborates with the Patient Care Director to set goals aligned with hospital strategy.
• Monitors staff compliance with regulatory requirements.
