Job summary

Compass Home Health & Rehab in Pittston, PA is hiring a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide/Caregiver for a 2nd shift starting after 4PM. The role involves helping patients with daily living activities and reporting to the supervising RN.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, hygiene, and grooming.
• Assist with bed linens and overall cleanliness of living area.
• Assist in dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
• Assist in feeding when necessary and monitor intake.
• Support ambulation and prescribed exercises per care plan.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as instructed.
• Help with laundry and household tasks as appropriate.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment and assistive devices.
• Document patient observations and report changes to clinical coordinator.
